Hapé (pronounced "ha-peh"), also known as Rapé (pronounced "ra-peh") is a sacred, ancestral shamanic snuff used in ceremony for thousands of years by the indigenous tribes of the Amazon basin. Far more than a physical substance, it is considered a "liquid light" or "spirit medicine" that helps align the mind, body, and soul.

Unlike commercial tobacco, Hapé is a complex preparation made from a base of Mapacho (sacred organic tobacco) and the alkaline ashes of various medicinal trees, flowers, and plants. It is traditionally administered through the nose using a blowpipe called a Tepi (from one person to another) or a Kuripe (self-application). This "blow" represents the breath of life.
